Rutland Middle school invited Greenway to participate in their 7/8th grade STEM fair this spring. Greenway Program Manager, Hannah Root, spent the afternoon talking with students about their independent science and engineering projects.
They spent many months refining their questions, conducting research, building prototypes, collecting data, and preparing their findings. Students asked thought-provoking questions such as, “How much does insulation reduce heat loss in a model cardboard home?” and, “Does lichen or moss have more microinvertebrates living on it?”
Thank you to the amazing organizer of this event, teacher Alyson Mack, and the rest of the Rutland Middle School team for including Greenway in this celebration of curious young minds!
