Founding Engineering Faculty at the Greenway Center for Equity and Sustainability (GCES) in Vermont

Posted: October, 2023  Location: Montpelier, VT  Full-time
Greenway Institute, in partnership with Elizabethtown College, is launching a brand new innovation campus focused on engineering for sustainability and equity. The Center launched for the Fall ‘23 semester as an immersive semester away program for 2nd year engineering students in collaboration with Etown’s ABET-accredited engineering program. We seek qualified applicants to join our founding faculty team as we launch programming for our 1st year engineering students in the Fall of ‘24. Founding faculty will develop and teach our hands-on, project-based, and student co-created engineering education program. Guided by principles of sustainability and equity, we aim to create a community where every student can develop the competence, confidence, and connections they need to thrive in engineering. Faculty members will work with our team to develop, pilot and teach courses and to plan the innovative program. Over time, the founding team will build GCES into an accredited 4-year program in sustainable engineering at the VT campus.
