As many of you may know, Greenway recently acquired Dewey Hall – located at 1 West Street, Montpelier – from VCFA. While Greenway builds our academic programs, we will not need to utilize Dewey Hall for our own students for at least a few years. One of our goals is to ensure that our buildings remain active and vibrant during the interim in ways that benefit our community. It is in this spirit that we will begin using Dewey Hall as dormitory style workforce housing in September. We are partnering with Cabot Creamery to create a home for many of its workers. We are excited to be working with such a legendary Vermont institution with a demonstrated commitment to environmental and social impacts for its consumers, employees, and cooperative of dairy farm families.
Please join us in welcoming our new neighbors with warm smiles and, perhaps, an invitation to join a soccer game on the College Green. We are excited to share our buildings and our outdoor spaces with others in the future.
