Greenway students have been hard at work envisioning a greener campus together with our Montpelier community. Over the past three weeks, students collaborated closely with community partner Hanif Nazerali, who is in the process of launching the Central Vermont Community Bike Share initiative. With guidance from Hanif, Greenway students engaged in an engineering design process to explore possible solutions for a bike share station located on the Greenway campus.
Through this collaboration, students gained valuable experience in engaging with community stakeholders and the engineering design process while contributing to the foundation planning of the bike share station. While there is still more work to do to bring the Central Vermont Community Bike Share to life, this collaboration marks an important step toward brining more sustainable and accessible transportation options to our region in the future.
A huge thank you to Hanif Nazerali and other community members who contributed their time, expertise, and enthusiasm to this project. Your efforts are helping shape a more sustainable and connected community.
Ice Skating At The College
You may have heard some chatter in the last couple of weeks about an ice rink at the College.
Our dedicated students worked with Greenway Founder Troy McBride to build an ice rink for the community.
It’s been a joy to see neighbors, community members, and students use the rink. The rink is open to the public and is free to use. Come for a skate!
