Recently, Greenway’s Hannah Root and Troy McBride participated in Faculty Development Workshops sponsored by KEEN (the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The trip was a great opportunity to learn additional best practices in engineering education. Greenway is well aligned with the KEEN tenets of developing entrepreneurial mindset and fostering curiosity, connections, and creating value.
Troy’s Workshop was titled “Unraveling Value Tensions in Sustainability with Entrepreneurial Mindset Learning” and was led by team members from North Carolina State University. Hannah’s workshop was titled “Enhancing Inclusive Teaching Practices” and was led by a team of educators from Wake Forest University’s engineering department. We met a number of wonderful colleagues and leaders in engineering education.
We truly appreciate this opportunity to network with leaders in engineering education, experience additional educational best practices, and work on our continuous improvement of our educational practices as we develop and refine the Greenway program.
